How does one accurately drill the holes for the Melanesia outrigger float?
The holes for the outrigger ‘sticks’ don’t need to be too accurate as the sticks, while green, are quite flexible and will bend to fit to the cross beams. We used some short battens clamped to the float at the angle we wanted the holes to be drilled, and then lined the drill up with these; this method is accurate enough.
