How does one become an NBA scout?
First of all, let me say right now that I’m not an NBA scout, so this answer is just based on my reading. According to the various life stories of Mike Brown, after playing basketball at the University of San Diego, he began his NBA career as an intern with the Denver Nuggets. Video co-ordinators spend 18 hours a day organizing and sorting video to come up with a series of clips that coaches and players can use to game plan. For instance, a video co-ordinator might collect every clip of an opposing player making his favorite post moves. Once all of these clips are assembled, this video is then given to an assistant coach who will go over it with the team so they’re ready defensively.
