To adjust the auger blts on a spirit snowthrower: The adjustment is on the cable to the handle, remove the cable by lifting the belt idler to relax it enough for removal. Turn the adjustment screw going into the spring and re-attach. This will increase the tension on the belt and you should get performance you are seeking. It might take a couple of tries to get the tension you want, but it’s an easy fix.
