SQL Data Services (SDS) is Microsoft’s cloud database service. The ADO.Net Data Services framework provides a common set of conventions for exposing, accessing and manipulating data across data-centric services using internet friendly protocols and message formats. In the future, ADO.NET Data Services conventions and tools will be extended to add support for flexible data, increase query language support to enable direct access to the relational capabilities of SQL Data Services and support provisioning for hierarchical data model of SQL Data Services. SQL Data Services will be extended to enable schematization of data and provide support for more of the ADO.NET Data Services conventions.
