How does SynLube Lube-4-Life compare with SEMI-SYNTHETICS?
Semi-synthetic oils are conventional petroleum base stocks with some (10-25 percent) synthetic base stock added. SynLube Lube-4-Life base stocks are fully synthetic. The low-temperature performance of SynLube Lube-4-Life is substantially better than a semi-synthetic oil since the waxes found in the conventional base stocks are still present in the semi-synthetic oils. The overall lubrication performance and engine protection of SynLube Lube-4-Life is better than a semi-synthetic since the additive package of SynLube Lube-4-Life has been tuned to provide exceptional performance with the synthetic base stocks. You can’t simply take the same additive package from conventional oil, blend it with a synthetic base stock and expect to get superior performance. The addition of some synthetic base stocks in properly formulated oil should improve performance versus conventional base oils.
