How does the comment rating system work?

0

We came up with the comment rating system as an incentive for members to give good, helpful advice. Non-members are not allowed to post or view comments, they can only vote. Of course some people will still be rude and crude, but if they consistently receive very low ratings on their comments, they could be banned from using the site. More importantly though than punishing members, we wanted to reward members for being helpful. By consistently receiving high ratings on your comments, you earn points which can place you into the Fashion Diva category. So, when you see a comment that is especially helpful to you, or not, you can rate it accordingly. The scale is 1 to 10, with 10 being the best or most helpful comment. The basic breakdown is as follows: Scale of 1 to 10, with 1 ‘Clueless’ to 3 ‘Not Helpful’ to 7 ‘Great Advice’ to 10 ‘Fashion Diva’.
