How Does the IPL Laser Treatment Procedure Work?
A doctor uses advanced equipment to deliver exact amounts of light to the surface of your skin, and through several treatments spaced out over an extended period of time the surface of your skin can virtually be changed in a matter of weeks. These IPL photo facial laser treatments do not take long. They are outpatient procedures that can last anywhere from 15 minutes to half an hour, and are done right there on the table at your dermatologist’s office or a med spa. This is why it is also considered a lunchtime facial procedure. While it is not an extremely painful experience, people take pain differently and some opt to have a minor skin anesthetic applied to numb the surface of the skin. After the procedure is completed however, there are few to no reports of serious pain.
