How does the member use his/her Anthem Blue Cross identification card?
A7. The identification (ID) card is the member’s passport to Anthem Blue Cross health plan benefits. While the ID card itself does not verify eligibility, presenting the ID card in a physician’s office or hospital admissions office enables the provider to confirm enrollment. The name of the member’s Primary Care Physician (PCP) is displayed on the ID card.
