How does the new Learning Object Import capability work?

0

WebCT Campus Edition 4.0 and 4.1 make it possible to import learning objects created offline in applications such as Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, Microsoft FrontPage, or Microsoft PowerPoint and saved in an IMS Content Packaging or LRN 3.0 compliant format. These learning objects can be imported with their structure and linking in tact. Once deployed within WebCT Campus Edition, these learning objects are fully configurable and trackable. Learning objects, including both WebCT content modules and the WebCT assessment suite, can also be tagged and exported in IMS format for storage or re-use. This functionality is available to designers from the “Manage Course” area of WebCT Campus Edition 4.0 once version 2.0 of the Content Migration Utility has been installed on the server by the WebCT Administrator. With WebCT Campus Edition 4.1, the Content Migration Utility is fully integrated, so no separate install is necessary.
