How does the Personal Computer Buy work?
Every year MISD provides an opportunity for full-time employees of at least one year to purchase a new computer like those currently in use in the district. Employees may purchase one Mac or Windows computer every two years; laptop computers, desktops, and monitors are available.Employees who purchase a new computer on the Personal Buy will have an interest-free payroll deduction for 24 months, beginning in January after the computer delivery in the fall. Payroll deductions are for the price of the computer plus applicable sales tax. These computers become your personal property; district services (network, repairs, etc.) are not available for your personal property.
