How does the zoned parking in Uptown work?
The Uptown area is divided into two zones. Zone 1: areas north of the tracks; both sides of Prospect Ave from Touhy to Summit; both sides of Summit from Prospect to the first alley east of Prospect; the south side of Northwest Hwy from Prospect to Euclid, and; all unreserved 2-hour parking spaces in the Central (library) lot. Zone 2: areas south of the tracks; both sides of Main St from Prospect to Prairie; both sides of Prairie from Main St to the first alley south of Main; both sides of Fairview from Main to Garden; both sides of Prospect from Main to Garden, and; the north side of Garden from Prospect to a point 95 feet northwest of Prospect. A vehicle cannot be parked in any single parking zone for more than 2 hours from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday – Saturday. That means a vehicle cannot move from one parking space to another within that parking zone during those times. This includes if you are parked in the morning, leave, then come back to the same zone.
