How does VirtuaLab work?
A VirtuaLab is made up of a computer at TechOnline that has development tools and a connected evaluation board that you can access over the internet from your local computer. When you run a VirtuaLab you start a Java applet that connects to a Tarantella Server, which in turn connects to the VirtuaLab. The VirtuaLab runs Windows Terminal Server, which provides you with a virtual Windows desktop. The entire interface to a VirtuaLab is done within your web browser. No special application program has to be installed on your computer in order to use the system. 2. Is VirtuaLab just another simulator? No. When you work with a hardware VirtuaLab you are connected to a system that has an actual embedded development board attached to a controlling computer. When you run your code on it you are running on the genuine hardware.
