How does word metering work for Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Thai?
When the language setting for the source content is Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Thai, Translation Workspace analysis reports count the number of all characters including punctuation, but not white spaces. Then, Translation Workspace programmatically applies a ratio to these character counts before passing the results to the metering engine used for word usage charges.
