How dry are the boats in rough seas?

This is obviously a difficult question to answer but all the experience we have gained with these boats has shown that in very short steep seas (which we get on the North Norfolk Coast) which are renowned to be the wettest type of sea, our boats are extremely stable and comfortable and generally very dry (particularly the Norfolk Oyster, Gypsy and Smuggler). The Norfolk Urchin being the smallest boat in the range will of course be rather wet when sailed in short steep seas (for example when wind is against tide in a tidal harbour). The Norfolk Trader 45 and 65 being flat bottomed vessels will be rather wet in short steep seas although extremely stable. Although these vessels are designed for safe coastal cruising there is no doubt that in rough short steep seas they will be rather wet and uncomfortable due to the flat bottomed hull and somewhat bluff bow sections. Having said this, there is no more stable hull than a flat bottomed vessel!
