I know it more for its grad school (which I hear is more theory based from two theory people) than for its undergrad stuff. ~4-5 years ago at least, I know it was considered one of the top 5 or so public US undergrad CS programs. I believe the student-teacher ratio was in the 18-20 range. It gets more prestige for its grad school than the undergrad stuff, but I don’t know how that changes internal dynamics. I know that I would have gone there without reservation when I was going to college, though. And if I had applied to grad school, it was one of the 5-10 I would have applied to.
