How is a scheduling agreement different from a purchase order?
A scheduling agreement is a purchase order for a particular validity time and target quantity. A Purchase Order is for a set quantity, price and time – in other words, a one-time purchasing document that requires a new Purchase Order number each time one is sent to the vendor. A Scheduling Agreement keeps the same number until validity date or the target quantity expires.
