The Advanced Program at Grant Park is based on the Manitoba Department of Education’s core curriculum for each subject. Enrichment and acceleration in the program is designed locally by subject departments at Grant Park High School. The exams for each of these courses are set by subject teachers and are written at the same time as other exams in the school. The Advanced Program includes all courses from Grade 7 to Senior 3 (grade 11). The Advanced Placement Program is an international program of study established by the College Board in the United States. This program is intended to be the equivalent of a college/university introductory program in each subject area. The Senior 4 courses in Grant Park’s Advanced Program are intended to meet both the Manitoba Department of Education’s requirements for Senior 4 as well as the College Board’s requirements for Advanced Placement. Often, students will be asked to meet for extra studies outside of class time to cover additional topics related
