How is garbage handled?

– Garbage and recycling are billed quarterly on the water bill. Two (2) 30-gallon bags or cans of garbage are collected at the curb on every Monday. Your garbage and/or recycling bin and/or your yard waste must be placed at the curb by 7:00 A.M. on every Monday morning. One green recycling bin is provided at the time you sign up for water service. The current charge is $35.00 per quarter for garbage/recycling. If you require only one bag or can to be picked up each week, the rate per quarter is $31.00. Additional garbage will be collected if it is appropriately tagged. Tags are available for additional bags or cans, as well as oversized items such as mattresses or appliances. Tags are available at Huron IGA located at 408 Cleveland Road East. The Finance Office also carries the extra tags. The garbage/recycling/yard waste collector is Fultz & Son, Inc., based in Clyde, Ohio.
