How is HDTV different from regular TV?
High Definition Television is different from regular TV in a number of ways. HDTV is broadcast in a 16:9 widescreen format using a progressive scan and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound vs. a 4:3 letterbox in regular TV, interlaced picture, and stereo. This means that HDTV gives you a clearer, wider picture with better sound than ordinary TV. If none of this makes sense, don’t worry. That’s why we’re here.
