How is Measure E different from Measure Q?
The Measure E bond has a slightly smaller dollar amount and greater citizen oversight elements than Measure Q. Measure E also allows for bond spending on major and residential roads rather than just roads with 500 car trips a day. Measure E is also a part of a larger 30-year funding plan that totals $95 million for roads, drain and water line repairs. The new city council felt it was important to give residents a longer-term perspective about the steps in place to ensure that Measure E would provide a solution for our most serious infrastructure problems.
