How is Outlook Web Access different to running the Outlook client on my desktop?

To use Outlook Web Access (OWA) all you need is a device with an internet browser to logon to our server directly. You still get the same custom view of your Outlook information and the user interface is very similar to the Outlook client which runs locally on your PC. Alternatively, when you use an Outlook client that has been installed locally on your PC, you can use all your local Outlook information when you’re “offline” or not connected to the internet. In its most common application users run a copy of the Outlook client on their PC or Laptop then when they’re without their PC (for example in an airport lounge, or using a personal computer at home) they can logon using OWA to see their business email.
