How is PDP implementation being managed at Cardiff?
The Student Support and Personal Development Planning Working Party (SSPDWP) was established in September 2003 to develop a framework for the implementation of Personal Development Planning within Cardiff University. Two Project Officers were appointed to co-ordinate the implementation of PDP across the institution. Following consultation with Schools and key University Committees, a University Policy Framework for PDP was developed. This policy outlines a number of minimum expectations which has allowed for local PDP implementation according to discipline specific/professional requirements within a central regulatory framework. Schools are free to determine their approcah to PDP, provided that the minimum expectations are met.
