How is the GPS unit powered? Does the cable recharge while plugged into the cigarette adapter?
Yes, the cigarette adapter does charge the PPC, in most cases. Some of them, however, do not provide enough AMP’s though. If you’re using an USB with a laptop, the laptop is providing the power, and thus draining its own power. If you’re using a CompactFlash (CF) GPS, the PPC is providing power, and thus draining itself. Bluetooth… usually has its own battery.
