How is the Hit and run triggered?
A hit and run is triggered when your torrent client stops communicating with our tracker, which announces every 30 minutes. Our system flags the time that it last announced, so if you do not return to seed the minimum of 1.0 OR 72 hours, you will get a pending Hit and Run on your profile. You have a grace period of 48 hours to return to seed before a HnR is triggered. However, if you return to seed the next day, every announce will accumulate and be added to your profile. Once you have either achieved 1.0 ratio OR 72 hours duration on that torrent, the HnR is void and removed, and any penalty returned to your account.
