How is the Museum being funded?
The Museum is not a publicly funded institution. Consequently, the Museum must depend on the generosity of private individuals, corporations and other organizations to underwrite the costs of the Museum. The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund has launched a capital campaign to raise the $80 million in private funds that is required to build the largest and most comprehensive law enforcement museum in the world. Entitled “A Matter of Honor: The Campaign for the National Law Enforcement Museum,” this fundraising effort will ensure that law enforcement’s long record of service to America will receive the national recognition it deserves.
