How lightning conductor made?
The Lightening conductor works on the principle called the “Auction of Points”. This principle states that a sharp object can acquire charge automatically by induction( may be negative or positive) at the end. The lightening conductor has a long wooden or any insulating pole which has a ball or sharp thing called the bolt at the end of it. The other end is attached to the building or house. A wire from the bolt is given to the ground and clouds themselves have charges it may be negatively charged or positively charged. So based the charge of the cloud the conductor is automatically induced with the opposite charge. So by chance if the lightening strikes your house then the ball(Bolt) attracts the lightening and absorbs it and sends it to the ground so it gets neutralized without affecting your house.
