How long can drugs be detected in a hair test?
Repeated washing and treating of hair may reduce the concentrations of the drug in the hair, but generally drugs can be detected in the hair until the hair that has the drugs in it are cut out. And since hair grows on average one centimetre a month this means that testing hair for drugs can detect use anything from days to years later.
