How long do homemade cookies last?

in my house they don’t last long at all. My husband eats the dough before I can get it to the oven. But if you don’t have that problem I freeze them in a zipper bag with a 1/2 slice of bread. when you take them out of freezer bread will absorb the excess moisture. If you just want them to be on the counter keep them in a tupperware or glad storage container with a 1/2 slice of bread. Apples work too but then you get an apple taste to the cookie.
