How long does a snowboard waxing last?
You should wax your board every 1-3 days of riding. The best way to tell is if you run the pad of your finger along the dry base. If the condensation from your finger causes a squeaky sound, you are golden, if not consider another application. If you look towards the edges of your board which wear much more than the center you will notice striated white oxidation. Even 1/2 day on spring/icy conditions can do alot of damage to your wax job. So I especially recommend wax daily in icy and/or spring situations. On all but the driest of power days, you will see oxidation by the end of 1-2 full days of riding. This is why in the spring you would use a durable graphite wax to hold up against slushy/icy conditions or you are just wasting your money. I agree with the fellow who said not to mix spring and cold waxes on the wrong day. I have found that this One Ball Jay waxing guide is ideal for those who want to really dial in their wax and choose the right tool for the job. http://snowboards-fo
