There are different answers to this question. First, any criminal conviction (whether for DUI or another charge) becomes part of a permanent criminal history that will, generally, follow the individual for the rest of his or her life. That information will almost always be available to be viewed by those with a lawful reason to have access to this record. Fortunately, there are limitations on who may view an individual’s criminal history.
