How long does an eye examination take?
Unless you have been advised otherwise, you should have an eye examination every two years. It may be necessary to have them more frequently, depending on your age and medical history. Our eye examinations take approximately 20-30 minutes. Discussing your needs It is very important that we know why you are having your eyes examined. If you are having an eye examination because you are experiencing problems with your eyes or vision we will need to know: what symptoms you have how long you have had the symptoms whether any changes have happened suddenly, or slowly over a period of time Your medical history You must also tell us if you are taking any medication. We also need to be made aware of other medical information, such as whether you suffer from headaches, currently wear spectacles or contact lenses, or have any close relatives with a history of eye problems.
