How long does it take for a cherry tree to bear fruit?
When I was young, my mother bought a cherry tree at a local nursery. There was a gigantic cherry tree sprawling over the fence from the neighbor’s yard, so we didn’t worry about pollination. After nearly ten years with no cherries, I convinced my mother to buy another. I brought it home, rubbed it all over the old tree, and let them spend the night together, touching. That year, the old tree produced what? Pears. We never did get cherries from the new tree. If I were you, I’d go back and get another tree exactly like it, before that batch is gone. Put tree-food spikes in the ground and keep them watered. If you really bought cherry trees, you should have cherries in the next 1 to 3 years. You will need to spray or dust when you see the fruits developing so you don’t get worms in your little cherries.
