How long does it take for AVONEX in a prefilled syringe to warm to room temperature?
The time required for the solution in the prefilled syringe to warm to room temperature is dependent upon both the refrigeration temperature (which can range from 2º-8ºC or 36º-46ºF) and the ambient room temperature (which can vary widely from 15-30ºC or 59º-86ºF); however, 30 minutes should be sufficient in most situations, or hold the syringe in your hand for 5 minutes. Do not use accelerated warming methods, such as placing it under warm water or in a microwave or oven.
