You really should have researched it before! I have to wonder what you were thinking when you bred bettas without knowing what to do with them after. Please think before you have 400 embryos’ futures on your hands. It takes about 48 hours, if you have the temperature at about 81-82 for them to hatch. Since you don’t seem to really know what to do, I’ll give you the general: The male will take care of the eggs for 5 days total after they are laid. He will spend 2 days watching over them until they hatch. When they do hatch, the male will take care of them for another three days or so until they become ‘free-swimming’, the point where they can swim normally. If you don’t see any fry swimming around, don’t feed them. In these three days they are living off their egg-yolk sac and adding food would be a waste.
