Video Transcript How Long Does it Take to Be a Massage Therapist? Hi, I’m Sundae with Natural Sundae. And if you’ve ever wondered how long it takes to train as a massage therapist, I can tell you. Now massage therapy schools, the number of hours that are required depend on what state you’re going to take the hours in. Some schools require five hundred hours in Florida and some schools require much more. So once you have taken your school and you’ve graduated, you’re, it doesn’t mean you’re a massage therapist yet. You still have to take your National Certification exam. And you don’t want to take it right away so you have to also take into account the amount of time you’re taking to study your National Certification exam. Then once you take your Certification exam, you’ll find out that day how you did, if you pass, or if you failed, hopefully you pass and then it usually takes about a month or two after you take your exam to receive, to physically receive your license.
