How long does it take to learn to flfy?
A. You’ll be flying solo on your first or second day of paragliding instruction. To aquire the basic skills necessary to fly on your own, in mild conditions without instructor supervision, will generally take a minimum of 7 days and 25 flights (many schools have a Novice package that will train you to this level.) To become a competent pilot requires more practice and time and will take several months and more instruction to aquire. As you search for a school, ask yourself if you want just the basics for limited flying conditions, or to become an advanced pilot, as this will affect the overall cost of your lessons.
