How long does Waxoyl Professional Corrosion Prevention last?
A. Hardwax and 120-4 will protect for the life of the vehicle. However, some areas of the underbody see high amounts of abrasion which eventually wears off the Waxoyl. The corrosion fighting chemicals remain bonded to the metal for some time after the visible wax layer has been scrapped away. However, it is recommended that areas of wear are touched up. Rate of wear depends highly on road surface and use, however a touch up is typically in order after 4-6 years. Some users prefer to fully reapply every few years, which has the benefit of reaching areas possibly missed in the initial application. Like anything the product is only as good as the application is thorough.
