How long has Dow Corning been involved with Responsible Care?
Even though the formal Responsible Care initiative was started just a decade ago by the American Chemistry Council (ACC), Dow Corning has a long history of environmental, health, and safety commitments that deal with the elements of Responsible Care. Since we began doing business in 1943, we have worked to be good neighbors in the communities in which we reside and a reliable supplier to our customers. In 1975, our Product Stewardship program was established, and, in 1989, we made our initial commitment to the Responsible Care initiative as a member of the ACC.
