How long is the average undergraduate degree in France? How old are students when they graduate?

In the French higher education system, at least three years of study are devoted to the Bachelor’s degree (“licence” in French), two for the Master’s, and three for the doctorate. The average age when leaving school (“lycée”) is 18. So when students graduate, they’re roughly as old as you are. The so-called “Grandes écoles” are an exception. These institutions may offer a Master’s degree after only three years of enrolment. But in order to be accepted, most students either attend two years of prep school, or already posses a Bachelor’s degree (which adds to their age). To cut a long story short: no, you wouldn’t be older -or at least not considerably older- than fellow students. If you’re thinking on going on exchange, are you sure you’d live on campus?
