DO NOT BOIL A MEATBALL, Trust me and My married into Italian Family. Use some olive oil in a pan and fry the meatballs first. If you choose to put them in the sauce afterwards for 15 mins or so then go for it! But otherwise do not boil meat in water GROSS!
