Like none of them, the only time they look at gcse’s is if theyexpect you to have a certain grade in one, for instance, to do history at durham uni, they expect you to have an a* at gcse in history. they look at A levels only, but it depends on the uni, for example, the top unis like oxford and cambridge dont look at gcse’s but again expect candidates to have a good hand of A* and A’s at gcse, however candidates arent judged on that. At the end of the day every uni application and candidate are different, if theres two with three As (AAA) applying to a uni then they will look at AS levels and possible gcse’s but loads of other things apply too, like personality, extra curriculum. Unis look at ucas points from ur A levels and increasing numers of them arent using points based systems anymore, instead grades. I have 12 gcse’s so it deends how many you are doing, you might be better off getting rally good scores at he gcse’s your doing, or taking on an extra curriculum activiy like duke o
