How many Californians are millionaires or richer?
There is no exact figure easily found. 8.9% of Americans (~2.6 million people) are millionaires and a lot of that wealth is centralized in specific wealthy cities. A recent study finds that Los Angeles County tops the list with roughly 262,800 millionaire households, which makes just one county in California account for 10% of the millionaires. Other counties in California included in that figure account for 551,500 millionaires (which is about 21% of the nations millionaires alone). Since this does not include all counties, I can estimate there are over 560,000 millionaires in California.Source: TNS Study
