How Many Guys in Gorilla Suits Can Fit Into an Eyeglass Store?
Dave announces who will be on the show tonight and goes into a thorough explanation of the “Ed” storyline. For the first three years, there was much sexual tension on the show between Ed and Carol. The big question was, “Are they gonna screw?” That’s basically what you had for the first three years, “Are they gonna screw?” Last Wednesday night in the season premiere, Ed and Carol “did it.” Dave says, “Now, it’s . . . .” (Dave pounds multiple times on the desk.) Paul wonders if that’s all that’s to the program now. He wants some plot to go with his television viewing and not just Ed and Carol doing it. At one point in the back and forth between Dave and Paul, Dave says “Sometimes, Paul, talking to you is like talking to a chimp.” My favorite part of this story was Dave saying how Ed was from the town of Steubenville when he meant to say Stuckeyville.
