How many men/ women get involved in extramarital affair in india?
From my past experiences, I would say that many men from India have a or many women on the side. According to my ex, a marriage in India is not about love and attraction, it’s about honoring his family and their choices- and they find it hard in dishonoring their family’s choices- “the arranged marriage”. The ex had an affair when his wife wasn’t in USA, so my guess is that many people do have affairs if they can get away with it. Not one to be mean but my friend and I laugh about this comment “Indian men gone bad in western world!” A scary and truthful statement- yet I am not sure if one would admit that ” indian men gone bad in India”- also don’t forget that the indian wives aren’t perfect either!
After having lived in India for some time, from experience and people who I have met, having extra-marital affairs is HIGHLY common, but Indian people still want to believe that this is something that happens in the west, they used to tell me: Look, this is YOUR culture, not ours… Um, I’m afraid not…..
