This question may vary depending on who you ask. If you’re not sure why that is, then read on- There are 18 “official” Bond movies; that is, 18 movies produced by MGM/ United Artists. There are three other “unofficial” Bond films. There’s a very early Bond TV movie called Casino Royale, a spoof/remake film of the same name, and another non-MGM movie called Never Say Never Again. Although these movies involve the James Bond character, many fans don’t consider them “true” 007 movies. Casino Royale was a TV special that was broadcast in the 1954. This movie had the James Bond and Felix Leiter characters switched around. Barry Nelson starred as CIA agent “Jimmy Bond”, and the character “Clarence Leiter” was his British ally.
