How many times is my fax attempted if a transmission error occurs?
If EliFax encounters a normal busy signal, the system will re-try the fax every 10 minutes for a maximum of 3 attempts. If any other common transmission error is encountered, EliFax will re-try the fax 3 times every hour for a maximum of 5 attempts. Common transmission errors that can occur include (a) when line is not answered by a fax machine, (b) there is no answer, or (c) the receiving machine has run of out of paper. If any other common transmission error is encountered, MaxEmail will re-try the fax every 5 minutes for a maximum of 5 attempts. Common transmission errors include ‘Not answered by a fax machine’, ‘no answer’, ‘receiving machine out of paper’, etc. Fatal errors, such as ‘not answered by a fax’, ‘voice answered fax number’, ‘number not in service’, etc. will not be re-tried.
