How many times may an employee volunteer for military duty covered under the CS Rules governing military leave? May these requests be denied?

There is no limit to the number of times an employee may volunteer for such military duty but the employee may only be paid for 15 days per calendar year. Requests for military leave for military purposes may not be denied; however, a supervisor may discuss with the employee the impact that frequent, voluntary military assignments have on his/her work productivity, the mission of the work group, district and/or agency.
