How many World of Warcraft expansions are there?
As previously stated: Burning Crusade is the only WoW expansion and has not yet be released. http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/burningcr… WoW doesn’t really release a whole lot of expansions like other games do. Instead they have frequent content patches. In other words: they release their content as free automatic downloads (“updates”) instead of making their users pay for expansions. Burning Crusade will release so much new content that they decided to make an expansion pack. Also, it’s a business. They want to make a profit, and releasing expansion packs is the best way to do it. At least WoW does it right when they release one….
World of Warcraft has not released a boxed expansion yet. They have a boxed expansion coming out called The Burning Crusades to be released in January. WoW has released many patches that contained many content worth an expansion. All of those patches has been free, The Burning Crusades will be the first expansion that will have to be bought.
