How much damage did the V2 Rockets do to Paris?
Not a great deal, the V2 was designed more as a terror weapon rather than a ballistic armament and was mainly used to subjugate England’s resolve. That is not to say that the V2 was a catastrophic weapon and it did account for substantial damage and loss of life through out the war. Hitler wanted Paris burnt to the ground rather than surrendered to the advancing Allies and when this failed they tried to do it through the v2s which failed to do much damage at all. It is believed that some of the rockets either misfired or due to gyroscopic problems went to far of course and missed altogether. The swiftness of the allied advance saw the rockets moved to far back to strike Paris or captured after the initial attack.
