HOW MUCH DO CARPENTERS MAKE?
Depends on what grade of carpenter you are, and whether you are union or not. A union journeyman in Michigan can probably look at around $23-$27 an hour. A good piece worker carpenter can look at making $50-$75 per hour. But this all depends on where you know your business or not, If you are quick and able to remember blue prints in your head and like to work hard doing peice work is hard to beat. But if you like to sit around most of the day and not hurt yourself with work, be able to go home and still walk 15 miles before bedtime because you did not do enough at work to make you tired then go for the union jobs. Union keeps you working more, partially because they get paid huge money for the big jobs and keep most of that money for the higher ups. The peice workers are seasonal, and are considered fortune or famine workers, They make really good money for 6-8 months out of the year, and if you watch what you do with that money you can live good and still save and have plenty all year
